Eleven Wedges Review | Tour CNC and BLASTER Wedges With Discount Code
I take the Eleven Wedges Review ON COURSE to see if its true what Eleven Golf are saying, that you 'Never worry about chunking or thinning a wedge again' with the BLASTER wedges from Eleven Golf, the sole plate and rails have been seen on Fairway woods in the past, now on a Wedge. This unique design allows the head to resist digging in the ground and allows the sole to glide across the surface, popping the ball up and out of the Rough.
The Tour CNC Wedges are built with a bit more versatility in mind, with the normal width soles and lofts ranging from 50 - 60 degrees, you have plenty of loft options to play any shot around the Green.
Huge Thank-you to Flempton Golf Club for allowing me to film there, anyone who lives local to the area should really look to play there. Its a nice stern test of golf, greens ranging and size and really good condition. Sensible Membership numbers means you never have to worry about the course being too busy also which is much more relaxing than some other very busy courses can be.

    They appear to be actual P790s that may have had manufacturing defects with weight or looks and possibly are refinished to hide those issues but the performance does make me wonder if these are defects from the actual p790 line

    My nephew has just started playing golf, so my gift to start on his journey was a set of Wilson Dynapower forged irons and an Eleven blaster wedge, he loves them. He is amazing with the blaster wedge, he hits from everywhere around the green, typical kid, he’s practised and played games chipping. I’ve taught him to chip and run with various irons, but he just loves his blaster wedge, hey golf is meant to be fun

      I had to reintroduce myself to actually having to clean the equipment after every use 🤣🤣 Eleven are rocking it at the mo. Hybrid Irons have been a massive success, the Driver did so well it sold out quicker than they could get the heads flown in, and the wedges are flying as well. It's just a good overall product aimed at thd everyday golfer at a price point that makes them a very obvious choice 👍🏻

    Great video Jay and totally agree Cleveland offer the best wedges for golfers. The wedge market is currently offering some attractive options such as the new Ping, Callaway, Mizuno, Wilson, and Taylormade models. However I remember at a Srixon fitting a few years ago they said they were always surprised when looking at the average golfers bag with cavity back irons and forgiving woods but then seeing players-blade wedges and the ball being played Pro V1. Counterproductive in my view, I always leave my ego at the door and let the fitter and data decide what is best.As a senior with a handicap varying between 15/17 I’m looking forward to a Srixon/ Cleveland fitting day and also trying Wilsonnand the new Mizuno range. In my mind I’d like to play Pro 245 or Wilson Dynapwr forged, I can use ZX4, but no doubt the fitting will decide if I stay in the game improvement segment rather than players distance which to date only i530 seemed as easy to hit.

    Hi Jay, Quick question. I'm playing the Blueprint S Power Speced. 11 handicap. I went and did a fitting thinking I wanted the 245's or some type of players distance iron. Crazy I hit the blueprints 5 yards longer and much tighter dispersion. Why is that as a very average player do I hit a smaller less forgiving club so much better Carrying the 7 iron 159-164.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut 22 години тому

      This is quite a common phenomenon which I've called 50p 5p. It's referencing what some amateur golfers bum goes when they see a smaller head shape (their bum goes 50p then 5p 😊). Contrary to popular believe, some golfers actually improve their strike pattern and spray consistency with smaller irons due to the brain thinking wow that head is small I better concentrate here. This translates into a much better dispersion pattern. Give them a more forgiving, larger headed club and actually they get worse 👍🏻 Seen it quite often although the rest of the golfing world has too many myth based knowledge so they keep going down the wind route often. Keep with the smaller heads if you use them better 👍🏻

    I've been playing 923 Hot Metal irons, 5 through gap wedge, for the past year or so. They replaced Mizuno MX-23 cavity back irons I had played since 2005. A very easy change for me. Stronger lofts are not a problem, as my swing speed has declined a bit. They feel good. Center hits are soft. Feedback on mishits is good. Any problems I have with these irons are in my swing.

      For what it’s worth, I have less than a year of experience and have absolutely no problem getting the ball to stop on the greens with these irons, albeit I hit a natural fade and the Tour B X ball may have something to do with this. If you’re looking at 3-5 models and forgiveness, and distance isn’t a problem, I don’t see any reason this wouldn’t be in consideration.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut День тому

      Going from Blades to some form of G.I would be a massive jump and probably not helpful. Personally I'd look at getting something like a retro spec Pro 245. You'll have the looks and forgiveness of a players distance iron with tungsten, yet weakening them all off closer to that of your current set will keep the distances under control 👍

    • @andrewbickley5271
      @andrewbickley5271 14 годин тому

      Forgiveness is such a subjective word. To me it means the most consistent distance from a reasonable miss hit away from center. In which case most Game improvement irons are not the way to go, they may have the highest over all Smash Factors but they can have large jumps in distance from 1.4 smash dead center to 1.36 smash from 6mm(So the avg hit might be ok , but a great hit flies over the green). Based the data I've collected from Jays reviews and other iron data youtubers, the top 5 clubs with the most distance consistent faces in order of most spin are #1TaylorMade P7MC , #2 Mizuno 923 Tour, #3 Cobra King Tour, #4 Titleist T150 2023, #5 Srixon Z Forged mk2.

    Makes a lot of sense, I’m a 22 handicap but I have the speed and ball flight, it’s my short game that needs practice. I lose a lot of shots on three puts and bad chips around the green.

    Curious to know where Cobra King Oversized (from the 90’s) place in the list? Im a high handicapper, been using my clubs for ~10 years and have noticed recently my mates have newer game improvement irons that are way chunkier. I probably should upgrade/move to more suitable clubs, but don’t think I need to go all the way to the HL GI irons. But was thinking of something like the JPX 923 pros. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Have I been using players cavity/players distance irons when I should have been game improvement irons?

    Just got my I 530 and I gained 10-15 yards longer than my P 790, my 7 iron got 188 -191 yards from soft and hard swing . Love it.

      The i530s are a great set of irons, really don't get the coverage they should. Ping have done a great job in its design and as long as you get fitted correctly for them, you'll maximise what benefits bring from it's design 👍🏻

    You mean the major manufacturers make up a perceived value? “NO?” They do to increase margins. The only clubs that make a difference, will be tour forged steel beauties.

    When I started playing golf, Wilson was one of the big 3 golf brands out there (McGregor and Spalding..yes they made golf clubs to you younger guys out there were the other 2). Got myself a Wilson Dynapowr Forged myself. These are total sleeper irons probably cause of their "shelf" appeal compared to the big brand names and has beens or nobody's are using them on tour right now. Guarantee you if a Rory, Colin, or a Xander used these irons, Wilson wouldn't be able to keep this in stock.

      There is a lot of information around that is either misleading or only partially true. The fact that every driver used to always be 10 yards longer, until the buying public started to see through that by now their drives should be going 400 yards but obviously weren't. So the marketing focus has now become much more forgiveness than Max distance. Ping have been spouting about their forgiveness for years but until the likes of the top 2 brands started to put their massive marketing budgets singing about it, now people care 🤷 With these and others like it, everyone needs to understand that yes they are massively cheaper than the authentic ones, but there are huge cons associated with them that only the individual can balance what they are happy with. There are also huge benefits, after sales being one and proper custom fitting being another, by going the authentic route. Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍🏻

    Im still gaming TM speedblades. They are 10yo and cost $500aud. That equates to $50 a year so far. I could resell at $350, still in great, condition as I use club covers...

    Longevity and resale needs to be factored in. Buy cheap..buy twice...

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut День тому

      Resale isn't normally too much a factor on things like this due to the massively reduced initial cost. Worse case you'll lose £250, where on a £1200 set there is a larger dash margin depreciation. You are absolutely right though with the potential durability side of things and the possibility for material and design failures 👍🏻
